The band/orchestra department uses a familiar framework for its students as the rest of the school does: a strong commitment to the fundamental elements of music performance all while having fun learning to master your instrument.

The band/orchestra department teachers bring their years of education, teaching, and performance experience to the program, which will in turn translate into a richer experience for the student’s band or orchestra involvement. Benefits of the program can include higher chair placement, regional and all state placement, and brass and woodwind knowledge that will last a lifetime.

Areas of emphasis in the band/orchestra program include: Ensemble playing (multiple areas of discipline, including symphonic band, orchestral, jazz, Latin) incorporation into rock and pop settings, fundamentals specific to the instrument, ear training, and musicianship.
