Gustavo has been playing guitar since age 10 and studied music privately in his Native Peru with Jorge Madueño ( Julliard School of music). Since the 90’s Gustavo has scored more than a hundred commercials, short films, documentaries and TV shows in Peru and South Florida, where he also attended MDCC and FIU for jazz performance. Over time Gustavo also became proficient in multiple instruments along his music journey.

As a performer, he has played all around South and Central America with Peruvian jazz fusion player Manuel Miranda , wrote and produced with legend singer Eva Ayllon and other top artists from Peru. He performed all over South Florida with top orchestras and “Top 40’s” groups.


In 2016 he moved to California to pursue his other passion: Film Scoring. He graduated from UCLA with a certificate in Film Scoring and a specialization in Music Supervision.

With great professionalism and work ethic, Gustavo is eager to share his knowledge and passion for music with his students. His unique approach to speaking the language of music has made him the perfect fit for Los Rios Rock School.
