San Clemente Vocal Lessons With A Rock & Roll Edge
If you are searching for vocal lessons for San Clemente children or teenagers, Los Rios Rock School can provide you with quality vocal lessons and rock band experience that allows your budding vocalist to showcase their singing skills up on stage.
At Los Rios Rock School, your tuition includes a weekly private lesson as well as participation in our Live Program. This program prepares students to perform live at top local venues such as the Coach House, the House of Blues and Stillwater, as well as our private rock school stage, The Lobby.
How It Works
Each week, students enjoy a 60-minute private lesson with one of our expert instructors. For those wanting San Clemente vocal lessons, we have five vocal instructors on staff. These instructors can help student improve their vocal range, vocal technique and tone as well as working on performance skills.
During each lesson, students are taught using music they love, and we can teach virtually any genre of music, including rock, jazz, pop, country, bluegrass, R&B and much more. In addition to vocal lessons, we can provide instruction in acoustic guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar, drums, keyboards & piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, ukulele and much more. Many students opt to split their weekly lesson into two parts, perhaps spending 30 minutes on vocal instruction and 30 minutes on drums, piano or another instrument.
After a few weeks of instruction, your child or teen will be ready to move into one of our performance groups. We base these groups upon experience and ability, and then practice set lists for upcoming shows during weekly group rehearsals. Currently we have more than 10 live groups with about 15 students per group.
The students and instructors work together to plan out set lists for our live shows. Some shows feature a specific theme, while others include a myriad of songs and styles. Often, these concerts feature original songs written by Los Rios Rock School students. Our advanced students also can audition for our Classic Album Series. In these concerts, our students perform an entire classic album in its entirety, such as The Beatles’ Abbey Road, Queen’s A Day at the Races and Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours just to name a few.
Production & Songwriting Classes
In addition to the private lessons and participation in the Live Program, students also can take production classes and songwriting classes. Our facility includes two state-of-the-art production studios and students can learn to write, record and produce their own original material just like the professionals.
AP Music Theory
For our advanced musicians, we also offer an AP Music Theory class, which is led by an instructor with a Ph.D. in Music Composition. This class focuses on aspects of music such as analysis, sight-singing, dictation and other topics that appear on the rigorous AP Music Theory exam.
At Los Rios Rock School, our goal is provide you with much more than basic San Clemente vocal lessons. We seek to foster a lifelong love of music in each of our students, and provide them with live performance opportunities that will boost their confidence and self-esteem. Additionally, the rock school is a great place for your child and teen to form close friendships.
