Rock Out With Our Orange County Music Camp
If you are searching for something unique, engaging and inspiring for your music-loving child or teen this summer, Los Rios Rock School’s Orange County music camp is the perfect option. This year, we are offering five amazing summer camp weeks and each camp concludes with a live rock performance on our own private stage, The Lobby.
Who Should Sign Up?
If you’re a kid or teen and you love the idea of spending a week rocking out with a guitar, drums, piano or another instrument, then our Orange County music camp is a perfect fit for you. If you are a kid who loves to sing and longs to get up on stage and perform, our camp is ideal for you as well. Even kids who might be a little shy about performing on stage, but love to play an instrument or sing will have a blast at our camps.
The Los Rios Camp Experience
Our summer music camps include four camps for beginner and intermediate musicians and one week for advanced musicians. For the beginner and intermediate camps, we typically separate the campers into groups based on their experience level, and our first day begins by selecting songs for the live performance on the final day of camp. For our advanced campers, the daily schedule will be similar, just at a higher level. Students in the Advanced Camp often create their own original compositions during the week and perform these songs at the end-of-camp concert.
During the course of the week, campers will rehearse their songs, learn new techniques and enjoy group discussions and workshops on a range of musical topics. The topics we include during the week will be based upon the interests and experience level of the campers, and might include songwriting workshops, learning performance skills and much more.
Camp Facts
Our music camp schedule includes four Beginner & Intermediate Camp weeks. These are scheduled for different weeks in June and July. All music camps will run from 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. Both current students and non-students of Los Rios Rock School are welcome to attend our camps. The cost for current Los Rios Rock School students is $299 per student; the non-student cost is $399 per student. Our Music School
In addition to offering these amazing music camps for Orange County kids and teens, Los Rios Rock School also offers instrumental music and vocal lessons. Not only can your child learn to play an instrument or improve their vocal ability, they also will be able to showcase their skills at the many live rock shows we host each year. In addition to performing gigs on our own private stage, students often perform at top local venues such as the House of Blues, Stillwater and the Coach House.
