Rock Out At A Ladera Ranch Music Camp
Searching for some summer fun, such as a Ladera Ranch music camp? At Los Rios Rock School, we are offering several summer music camps for kids and teens. If your child plays any instrument, loves to sing or dreams of getting up on stage and rocking out, our music camps are the perfect option.
Camp Curriculum & Activities
Our Ladera Ranch music camps are packed with engaging activities and each camp week culminates with a live rock show on our professional stage, The Lobby. Students are arranged in groups led by our expert instructors as well as camp counselors. These youth counselors are comprised of our most experienced Los Rios Rock School students.
Once groups have been formed, the kids create their own set list for the big show on Friday. The set list is completely student-driven, the kids pick the songs and then begin rehearsing and learning the songs on the first day. We have a huge variety of musicians and vocalists that participate in our camps. Whether your child loves to sing or plays the guitar or the clarinet, the drums or the piano, we’ll have an exciting part for them to play in the big show.
We offer Beginner & Intermediate camps as well as an Advanced Camp and we welcome students of all levels. Whether your child has taken lessons for several years or has never picked up an instrument before, we’ll ensure that they will learn a ton and have a blast all along the way. In addition to preparing for the big Friday show, the campers also spend time attending a variety of fun workshops learning everything from songwriting skills to performance skills and perhaps even music production skills. We take into consideration the ability levels and interests of our campers when selecting topics for these workshops, allowing kids the freedom to select what they wish to learn and do. Our Advanced Camp runs in the same manner as the Beginner & Intermediate camps, but we simply increase the difficulty level to match their skills.
Camp Details
Our half-day camps run Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Our Advanced Camp will be held during the week of July 17-21. Our Beginner & Intermediate music camps will be held during the following weeks: July 26-June 30; July 10-July 14; July 24-July 28; and July 31-August 4. The cost for a camp week is $299 for current students at Los Rios Rock School. Non-students are welcome, and the non-student camp fee is $399 per week. Camp tuition is due two weeks prior to the start date.
Our Rock School
While your main goal might be to find a Ladera Ranch music camp, Los Rios Rock School also offers engaging, performance-based music lessons during the summer and throughout the year. Our expert instructors can teach virtually any instrument as well as providing vocal lessons. Your monthly rock school tuition includes a private, 60-minute weekly lesson as well as participation in our Live Program. Students in this program work in groups, prepare set lists and perform several live rock shows throughout the year at top Southern California venues such as the House of Blues, the Fonda Theater, the Coach House and more.
