Vocal Lessons For Laguna Niguel Teens & Kids
While many people love to sing, for a few of us, music is truly our passion. If your child or teen loves singing and wishes to improve their vocal skills, the teachers at Los Rios Rock School are here to help. We offer vocal lessons for Laguna Niguel students, but that’s not all that our students will enjoy.
The Lessons
Your monthly tuition includes a weekly, one-hour private lesson. Most local music schools provide only 30 to 45 minutes of instruction each week, but we believe a 60-minute lesson is best.
Our staff includes five expert vocal instructors and during lessons, we teach using music your child truly loves. We can teach virtually any genre including rock, pop, country, bluegrass, jazz, R&B and much more.
In addition to providing Laguna Niguel vocal lessons, we also can teach virtually any type of instrument. This includes acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, piano & keyboards, drums and more. If you child currently plays an instrument, you also can split up the lesson into two sections if you wish. For instance, you could spend 30 minutes on vocal instruction and 30 minutes working on guitar or perhaps flute or clarinet.
Our Live Program
Tuition at Los Rios Rock School also includes participation in our Live Program, which provides your budding vocalist with a chance to showcase their skills at live rock shows. We organize the students into groups based upon ability, each group practices during a weekly jam session and then these groups perform at our live rock shows.
Our live shows are held at top local venues, such as Stillwater, the House of Blues and the Coach House as well as on our private rock school stage, The Lobby. We organize six to 12 shows throughout the year. Some have special themes, while others include a mix of musical genres and styles. For example, our advanced students are welcome to audition for our Classic Album Series. For these concerts, we practice and perform a classic album in its entirety. In the past, these concerts have included albums such as The Beatles’ “Abby Road,” and Queen’s “A Day at the Races.”
Other Opportunities
In addition to the live performances and vocal lessons for Laguna Niguel students, we have several other options to consider. If your child or teen enjoys writing music, we have songwriting and production classes. Our facility includes a full professional analog recording studio as well as a secondary digital studio. Students can learn how to write, record and produce their own original songs.
We also offer an AP Music Theory class for our advanced students. This class, led by an instructor with a Ph.D. in Music Composition, prepares students who wish to take the rigorous AP Music Theory exam.
Our summer camps are another fun offering. Each summer, we offer camps for beginning students as well as advanced students. These camps include songwriting workshops, production workshops, jam sessions, games & other activities. Each week-long camp ends with a special live concert performed on the last day.
