Summer is just around the corner, and if you are searching for exciting activities for your teen or child, why not consider a Laguna Niguel music camp? Spending a week rocking out at our Los Rios Rock School summer music camps is the perfect option for any music-loving kid.
Not only do the kids get to spend the week playing or singing their favorite songs (or both), each music camp week concludes with a live rock show on our professional stage, The Lobby. Our facility is stocked with the best professional new and vintage gear, so kids can rock out using some of the same instruments as their favorite artists. No other Laguna Niguel music camp can provide this type of experience.
Whether your child is a beginning musician or vocalist, and advanced musician or somewhere in between, we have a perfect camp experience for them. We offer beginner & intermediate camps as well as an advanced camp. During the week, campers will be divided into groups and set lists will be created for the big Friday show. As the week progresses, campers will practice during jam sessions as well as attending workshops on a variety of musical topics. We select these topics based upon the interests and ability levels of each group of campers. Whatever they wish to learn, that’s where our focus will be.
Camps are led by our professional instructors and we also have several of our advanced music students that serve as camp counselors. Typically each group will be led by 1 or 2 instructors and at least two of our student counselors. Advanced camps follow the same general format as the beginner & intermediate camp; we simply crank up the difficulty level to meet their needs.
Our Advanced Camp will be held the week of July 17-21, and our Beginner & Intermediate Camps will be held during the weeks of June 26-June 30; July 10-July 14; July 24-July 28; and July 31-August 4. Camps run Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. until noon. The cost for each music camp is $299 for any current Los Rios Rock School students and $399 for non-students. Camp tuition is due two weeks prior to the camp start date. Camp spots do fill up quickly, so be sure to sign up soon!
If you are new to Los Rios Rock School, you might also consider signing up for our performance-based music lessons. Your monthly tuition would include a private, weekly 60-minite music lesson as well as participation in our Live Program. We divide students up into groups, create set lists and perform at some of Orange and Los Angeles counties’ top music venues. These venues include Stillwater, the House of Blues, the Coach House, the Fonda Theatre and many more.
