Mission Viejo Drum Lessons: A Unique Rock School Option
Percussion is the backbone of any band or orchestra, and if your child or teen has expressed an interest in playing the drums, it is probably time to think about taking some lessons. At Los Rios Rock School, we offer more than just a weekly Mission Viejo drum lesson; your child will be able to display their skills at a live rock show.
Our tuition includes a full, one-hour lesson each week, but each student also gets to take part in our rock band experience. We form student bands, rehearse and then perform at top local venues such as The House of Blues, Stillwater, The Coach House and more.
For Mission Viejo drum lessons, your child or teen will be using only the highest quality equipment. Our drums include eight sets of DW Collectors Series drum sets. These are the same drums that are used by legendary drummers such as Neil Peart (Rush), Nick Mason (Pink Floyd) and Dave Grohl (Nirvana).
While Mission Viejo drum lessons are one option at Los Rios Rock School, we can provide instruction for virtually any instrument including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, piano, keyboards, saxophone, clarinet and more. We also offer songwriting lessons and vocal lessons. Students also can split their 60-minute lesson into two segments, spending a half hour on voice and drums or perhaps 30 minutes on saxophone and 30 minutes on drums. Students also can learn using any genre of music they like, including rock, pop, country, bluegrass, rockabilly, R&B and whatever else they truly love.
Our experienced, carefully screened staff are not only fantastic instructors, each of them are in working bands that have produced albums. In addition to lessons, they lead our band rehearsals and jam sessions.
